Customs ride with the wagon

Experience an unforgettable day of vacation on the Moselle
Enjoy a ride with the wagon to the most beautiful viewpoints around the Calmont, the steepest wine region in Europe, with a 65° slope or around the Prinzekopf to the narrowest loop of the Moselle with a view of Germany's longest viaduct. Book a ride with the wagon, suitable for 18-20 people, and let the impressive landscape pass you by with a good bottle of wine. You will receive professional explanations on viticulture, wine and cultural landscape directly from the winemaker.
Hiking along the Moselle
Along various witnesses of Prussian transport and construction technology, the 8.5 km long main axis of the themed hiking route leads from the Umweltbahnhof Bullay via the first double bridge (1877) in Germany for vehicles and trains, over to the Marienburg, past the mighty railway viaduct (1880) from Pünderich to Reil station. The fantastic panoramic view from the Marienburg / from the Prinzenkopf observation tower, one of the most striking points on the Moselle, makes the railway landscape appear like a 'Märklin toy land'.
With a height of 380 meters and a slope of around 65 degrees, the Calmont between Bremm and Ediger-Eller on the Moselle is the steepest vineyard in Europe. A particularly good Riesling grows on its steep slate slopes, and the winemakers have been able to rely on their muscle power for centuries, because machines are not used on the steep slope. A via ferrata leads through the vineyard via narrow paths and ladders, from which a magnificent panorama is offered.
Canoeing on the Moselle

The Moselle: The steep vineyards with their artfully laid out terraces, the windings of the Moselle and the slate and sandstone soils characterize this unique cultural and wine landscape. The sun is captured in the often dizzying steep slopes, which gives the wine strength and flavor. The Riesling wines from Moselle-Saar-Ruwer are among the best in the world. Enjoy wine and learn a lot at the same time Learn about viticulture, which interested guests can do during wine tastings and exciting guided tours through the vineyards and wine cellars. The grape harvest and the countless wine festivals that are celebrated throughout the year attract numerous visitors to the Moselle region.
Fishing

Surrounded by vineyards and in the immediate vicinity of the picturesque town of Beilstein, which lies below Metternich Castle on the Moselle, you can cast your fishing rod in peace and forget the stress of everyday life. The Moselle has become a clean river again in recent years through ecological measures, so that fish and 'Petri Heil' are not far away.
Cycling along the Moselle
The possibilities for cyclists along the Moselle are almost limitless. An excellently developed network of cycle paths and a varied landscape. Flat routes for pleasure cyclists, through the (wine) mountains for athletes and mountain biking for the adventurous. The tours in the holiday region of Bernkastel-Kues can also be combined with wine tastings and city tours. And if the way back is too long, simply take the cycle bus back. Up to 22 bicycles and their owners can get on at various stations. However, the journey must be booked in advance. Anyone who has overestimated their endurance still has to drive themselves.

Boat trip on the Moselle
If cycling and hiking are too strenuous in the long run, you can also explore the region by boat. The white fleet floats over the Moselle in peace and allows its guests to admire the view in a relaxed and effortless manner. Depending on your mood and time, the visitor can choose between a one-hour, two-hour or even a day trip.
Climbing park in Traben-Trarbach If you want to go high and have a lot of fun, the Mosel Adventure Forest in Traben-Trarbach is the right place for you. Located in the middle of an old Douglas fir forest on the ruins of Mont Royal Fortress, there are 14 courses with over 200 climbing elements. From the low children's course (from 5 years old), which is also suitable for beginners, to the 'Ironman' course, which also pushes professionals to their limits, there is something for everyone. There is also a twelve-meter-high climbing tower. And if you just want to watch for the time being, the climbing center with gastronomy and a large roof terrace is the best place to be. The climbing park is - depending on the weather - from mid-March to the beginning of November. The good infrastructure makes the park an ideal destination for families. Associations and companies can also book adventure-based group training. Together with specially trained educators, the team cohesion is strengthened in a sustainable way.
